Charity is a cover to avoid responsibility.

#Debian, #Fedora, #PopOS, at al are all culpable in their neglect. Of themselves, of their users and of their upstreams.

Great film. Really tells James Cameron's Avatar where to dump it's baby time script in comparison. Nice that a cartoon about talking animals can put together something much more thoughtful from the same idea.

@gnutools@fosstodon.org, why do none of your asan sanitizer suppression options work in my hideously complicated CMake build system.

Arg, in code, suppression file, nothing will make it stop failing on an external dependency except removing asan checking entirely. Which is VERY annoying.

Update: Memory leaking is handled with a completely different suppression file (and format). LSAN_OPTIONS not ASAN_OPTIONS

Mastodon still has no accounting, cost reporting, or economic transparency tools built in. A major flaw.

The @Mastodon@mastodon.social project itself could be getting a vital income from such tools, if part of the bundle was reporting upstream investments as well as maintenance costs and capital budgets.

People want to pay, Free Software makes it excruciating hard to do so. Come on guys, spend some code time on accounting!
